White Blazer

I have had this white blazer for months and am so happy to have finally taken out of the back of my closet! I don’t know why I never wore it before, but there is something that intimidated me about it. I’m not one to wear white much, so that’s probably why I hesitated. For this look, I was going to dinner at one of my  best guy friend’s house. It was casual yet chic dinner so I decided to throw on my  leggings & white blazer.

I don’t know what inspired this look except for the fact that I love black & white together. I wore my favorite over-the-knee boots from Bakers Shoes & my favorite multi-strand pearl necklace my boyfriend bought me two Christmases ago.

Anyhow, I hope you enjoy this post :).  I have also been using a better camera too lately and not my point and shoot. I hope you enjoy the quality of images! This was taken on one of my balconies in my house.

Fur & Leather

I am still obsessing over this faux fur jacket I bought from 2b by bebe. It’s so comfortable and warm that it’s become my new obsession! I already wore it with jeans for a day of shopping (you can view it here). This time, I wanted to try something different. I tucked in the sweater into my faux-leather pleated skirt (which I am also in love with) & for the first time in maybe…years, I wore a pony-tail. I never wear my hair up so it was a new leaf turned over. I am still unsure about it, but will try to incorporate up-do’s in the future to get over my fears.

For some reason, there is just something about all black that I find intriguing. I like to mix textures when wearing all black so it doesn’t look so…bland. Fur, leather & sequins…oh my!

Stars in my eyes

Happy Monday!!

I hope you all had an amazing weekend! Please tell me about it in comments below or tweet me!

As you know, I have recently bought this skirt from Zara and have been obsessed. I already wore it as a top (which you can see here) and so I finally chose to wear it as a skirt. I threw on a pair of solid black tights, and wore a cardigan in a cowl-neck style that I love so much. Then I added some sparkle with my sequin clutch. After all, how could you not sparkle while wearing stars?

I am also wearing my newest necklace, another crescent moon & star except this time the star is dangling. My boyfriends step-mother gave it to me & I’m so happy to have another crescent moon & star necklace to add to my collection 🙂

A little retro

I have been really testing my wardrobe lately and I’ve been trying to attempt utilizing pieces in my closet in new ways. This particular outfit was inspired with retro influences. I love the red, polka dots & pearls. The skirt is from this awesome store called Sway. I was  super excited when it came in the mail. It’s an awesome boutique & it’s really affordable.

Anyhow, I threw this outfit on for a lunch date & felt rather good about this new style. Hope you like it :).

Leather Details

I am a very big fan of leather/faux leather & I incorporate the fabric as often as I can in my blog posts. I am not sure why I love it so much, but probably because it just adds that bit of edge. This particular outfit was during my last day in San Francisco. I call this outfit “leather details” due to the fact the details are all leather-based. My blazer has leather details in the pockets & leather patches on the shoulder which complimented my shorts. Typically I would have worn a leather bootie but since I was walking excessively from touring the amazing sites of SF, I chose flats.

I was loving the colorful wall at this nightclub closeby to where we were staying & just had to use it.

Make me Blush

Happy New Year everyone! First and foremost, I want to thank you all for all the constant support & love you have all given me. This blog would be nothing without you. So, thank you. I have lots planned for this blog, re-designing it & making it more interactive for you! Stay tuned for updates as by the end of January, it will be re-vamped with lots of goodies for you. Thank you again! I love you all!

Before the New Year I met up with my old co-workers for a girl’s night out at this amazing steakhouse called Larsens. I had recently purchased these adorable Blush Suede platform mary-jane heels from ShoeMint. I am now obsessed with them. They are called the “Edith” & they come in black, but something about the blush color really spoke to me. I can’t wear to wear these babies in various ways!

For this outfit, I kept the whole blush tone concept, and wore a blush colored top, and neutral lips. It’s such a delicate and romantic color, which is why I am so drawn to it. Hope you enjoy this outfit post, it was a little impromptu. I still have to figure out how to take better pictures at night but I am excited to learn more.

New Year’s Day

New Years Day I spent just playing around San Francisco & it was absolutely amazing. We spent the day on the Embarcadero, and walked through various parts of the city. It was the perfect New Years Day & I am so happy to have spent my New Years in San Francisco. Where did you spend your New Years? Hope you all had an amazing New Years!

Typically, a sweater & jeans combo is what I call “boring” with a pair of fun earrings, I took my look from “boring” to “fun” with my 2b sparkly earrings. They were a hit with passer-by’s and friends. Nothing like adding some unique bling to a simple outfit.
